24 Hour Plumber in Kingston upon Thames & Surbiton
The 24 Hour Plumber works across the KT postcode area — Kingston, Surbiton, New Malden, Chessington, Esher, Epsom, Walton and surrounding towns — with 24 hour emergency cover and booked appointments during the day.
The KT area is one of the densest parts of our coverage: Victorian terraces in Surbiton and Norbiton, large interwar semis in New Malden and Worcester Park, riverside properties near the Thames, and a steady stream of loft conversions and rear extensions that put new bathrooms into old pipework.
Extensions and conversions are where most of the avoidable problems start. A new en-suite plumbed into a waste run that was never designed for it will block, and it will keep blocking.
Plumbing considerations in Kingston, Surbiton & the KT Postcodes
Old pipework meeting new bathrooms
Loft en-suites and rear extensions are common here. Long waste runs with too little fall, and shower pumps fitted to systems that cannot supply them, cause a large share of the repeat call-outs we see.
Riverside and basement properties
Properties near the Thames sometimes have basement or lower-ground plumbing that relies on pumped waste. Those pumps need maintenance and fail without much warning.
Hard water again
The KT supply is hard. Combi boilers, shower valves and kettles all show it, and it shortens the life of thermostatic cartridges in particular.
